Wise development on two legs

Question from the Internet:

“Do you want a one-side world: the optimist side?”

One side is not enough, as we can’t stand only on one leg for long.
Our whole perception, consciousness is built on comparison, evaluation, contrasts.
We don’t know heat without feeling cold, we don’t know sweet without tasting bitter, we can’t value health without being ill, we can’t appreciate happiness without being sad, and we can’t love without hate.
Optimism, positive confidence needs to be supported, augmented by fearing the opposite, we can’t truly succeed without tasting, experiencing failure first.
The art of existence is learning how to balance two opposite sides, constantly leaning towards, aiming at positive progress towards a distinct goal, but fully knowing the potential obstacles, difficulties, perils we have to encounter and overcome.
That is wise progress, development.
