Why we can’t build world peace?!
Question from the Internet:
“Who wants world peace? I do.”
Yes, I do want world peace too, probably most people do.
The problem is that we neither know why we haven’t managed to build world peace yet and not do we know we to build it!
The reason we can’t build world peace is the inherently egocentric, self-serving, self-justifying, fiercely individualistic/nationalistic, subjective Human nature that drives all of us.
We are excessively accumulating resources, wealth and power for ourselves as we don’t trust each other, and we constantly want to place ourselves above others.
And while this Human nature is most obvious in leaders, politicians, top business people while the rest looks “meek”, ready for connection, compromise, it doesn’t take much for clever, shrewd leaders to incite the masses, different layers of societies, political movements, different countries against one another until they are ready to kill each other.
Peace won’t come by changing who we are, it won’t come by defeating, subduing each other, it won’t come by trying to suppress, erase individual, national identities, ideologies, cultures, religions.
Peace will come when we learn - through a unique, purposeful and highly practical educational method - how to identify common goals, purposes that we can make more important than all the things that separate, reject us from one another.
In true peace differences, instinctive distrust, rejection even hate never disappears, it even grows. But we acquire the ability, wisdom to complement, neutralize the negative side with positive, common, mutual purposes, goals, achievements.
