Why should we ask about the meaning of life?

Question from the Internet:

“How is it beneficial to humans to question life?”

Without questioning the “meaning or purpose” of life, without examining and learning what it means to be “human beings” we are simply existing like other animals, blindly and instinctively floating through our decades of “living”, basically wasting our time that was given to us to ask and study the above questions.

So far, all through human history, we completely understood the purpose of our existence, defining different, misguided goals and activities as the basis of the meaning of life.

Our present generations suffocates through a totally aimless and self-destructive consumerist human system, where we define producing and consuming goods and services as our life’s purpose.

And since we produce and consume in an excessive manner, way beyond our actual necessities — which necessities we do not even know — and we ruthlessly compete for profits and resources while surviving and succeeding at each other’s expense, it is not enough that we do not know who we are and why we live, but we also destroy each other until we totally self-destruct.

Only the questions and purposeful and methodical development towards finding the answers about the purpose of human life can put us back on track and facilitate our continuing survival and true prosperity as human beings.
