Why is it worth saving the institution of marriage?
Question from the Internet:
“Is the marriage institution losing its importance in today’s societies?”
Yes, marriage does not work any longer in modern society, as our incessantly growing, intensifying, self-centered, narcissistic, individualistic ego made it impossible to force and keep two fiercely, proudly individualistic egoists together to navigate decades of life through constant mutual concessions.
And without a stable marriage, the classical family is also broken, and with that, we have lost the fundamental building block of human society.
Moreover, with or without marriage young people today do not want children on their own, as the commitment, compromises, sacrifices that bringing up children require are totally unacceptable in our generation when self-fulfillment, self-realization has become our number one priority.
This is nobody’s fault, we are instinctively following our inherent nature — on the other hand, by that we are basically committing collective suicide as we speak.
We need a unique, purposeful, and practical educational method that can teach us, make us feel how through mutual concessions, how by restoring the classical family we do not lose anything, but — especially as we have to do it above and against our ego that is neither suppressed nor erased — we attain a completely different, qualitatively much higher self-fulfillment, self-realization, by unconditionally serving, loving, fulfilling others we love.
