Why is human well-being under threat?

Question from the Internet:

Is human well-being under threat?

It is. We are facing an increasing and global threat to our well-being. Some of it is a direct result of human actions, like wars, socioeconomic collapse, pollution, and direct destruction of the Natural environment.

Some of them are the result of “indirect” human actions or inactions, meaning not being able to comprehend and solve global problems — like climate change and plagues — because we all want to find “solutions” that only serve our inherently egocentric and subjective self-interest and we all want to succeed and survive at each other’s expense.

All of these problems originate from the same root cause: we perceive reality in a 100% self-serving and subjective way, and we all make calculations and actions only for our own sake while trying to control, manipulate and exploit others.

And through such attitude and approach toward each other, we behave in the exact opposite way to how all elements in Nature’s system selflessly and mutually integrate and complement each other to facilitate the general balance and homeostasis that life depends on.

And since we exist within Nature and are integral parts of Nature, the system’s strict, unchanging and unforgiving laws that govern the mutual integration that life needs also obligate us. Thus as long as we go and behave opposite to Nature’s integration, our well-being is under increasing threat.
