Why don’t we want to become Human beings?!

Question from the Internet:

“Why is society so bent on forcing people to “stay in their own lane/stick with the status quo”?”

We exist in an oppressive Matrix. In this Matrix, overwhelming propaganda machinery — including the mass media, the entertainment industry, the 24/7 “circus and bread” system with the incessant sports events and movie uploads with the “spicy” celebrity culture and the dramas surrounding “royal families” — prevents us from thinking even for a second about life, about ourselves, about asking the questions in relation to the meaning or purpose of human life.

And we all willingly submit to this Matrix as we are scared of those questions; we are scared that we might reveal that until now, we have been living an inhumane lie that has nothing to do with true life and being a “Human being”.

Thus we do not even have to force people, especially in Western societies we want to stay plugged in. Vene when we receive chances — like during the pandemic, for example — to explore who we are, to try to steer our lives towards different directions, we stubbornly and blindly just want to be plugged back into the Matrix, to “return to normal”.

We seemingly do not want to become “Human beings”; we want to remain these hapless, humanoid zombies that are controlled and manipulated 24/7.

So the question is not why and how we prefer to stick to the “status quo”; the question is why we do not want to learn what it means to “be Human” and why we do not want to nurture and intensify our inner questions about meaning and purpose of life?
