Why are we greedy?
Question from the Internet:
“Why are there so many greedy people in the world, isn’t there enough for everyone to get a little bit?”
“Greediness” is our inherent state, as we are all driven by an insatiable, irrepressible, egocentric, selfish desire for pleasures.
This inner nature drives us towards incessant, ruthless, and exclusive competition, to succeed and survive at each other’s and at Nature’s expense.
We simply can’t accept, agree to a “little bit” as we simply can’t take others into consideration as we do not have the inbuilt senses for that. We make calculations in relation to others only when it serves our own selfish interest.
Moreover, since we are completely incompatible, out of sync with Nature, we do not even know what our actual, true natural necessities are and what actual, true available resources are.
Thus in Nature’s fully integrated system and in the globally interdependent world we ourselves also evolved into, our inherent nature makes us behave like cancer.
The only true solution — as bitter as it seems at first — is to “relearn” how to live, how to exist based on Nature’s integral template, through selfless, positive mutually responsible and mutually complementing calculations, cooperation — above and against our inherent nature.
First, we will have to do this lacking any other choices, since our problem-solving ability, collective survival depends on such a change in this integral, Natural system. Then — through the consciously achieved, Nature-like mutual integration — we will gradually understand how we gain a qualitatively much higher sense of existence, collective intellect, collective abilities that facilitate a lifestyle, general understanding and fulfillment we could not even dream about before.
