Why are we confused by our emotions?

Question from the Internet:

“If the future is data-driven and evidence-based, why do we see so many emotion and belief-based ideology questions here — on nonsense like Marx, meaningless division (Right or Left), Neoliberalism, Micro/Macro Wealth Theory, etc.?”

The problem is that, first of all, we are emotional beings, and our intellect is only aiding our emotions. Then our consciousness and perception of reality are 100% egocentric and subjective; we see from the world only that is interesting for our totally self-serving and self-justifying calculations.

So all our data, facts, and evidence is limited and distorted by our emotions and our egocentric and subjective perception of reality.

All our ideologies, philosophies, and sciences are arbitrary, lacking any true and objective foundations.

Thus if we want a truly data-driven and evidence-based future where we all keep to the same standards and follow the same rules, we need to develop an unprecedented, 100% selfless, and objective viewpoint and perception of reality.

And while this sound impossible or fantastical at first, we have the necessary method and the “human laboratory” where we can achieve such revolutionary self-development.
