Why are those who come to reform the world cause harm instead of good

Question from the Internet:

“When a movement attempts to change a free society into one of more control, do it many times include words such as the oppressed and the oppressor?”

Sure, most movements that try to control society come in the name of “liberating” the pressed from oppressors.

And they might actually honestly mean it. After all, from our own inherently subjective and egocentric point of view, we can always justify ourselves while blaming and criticizing others. From this introverted point of view, all “world reformers” believe that they do actual good against all the evil others are doing.

Most people are honestly and blissfully unaware of our inherent nature that drives all of us: that we always thrive at ruthless competition, we always prove ourselves above others through incessant comparisons, and we actually enjoy succeeding at the expense of others when we can manipulate, control and exploit others from the family to government level.

Nothing will change in human society; we will continue to stumble from one vicious historic cycle to another until; we self-destruct. No positive changes are possible unless we study, recognise and accept the instinctive urges, desires and intentions in us and we willingly and consciously change and further develop ourselves — instead of blaming, correcting or destroying others.
