Who is responsible for the problems in Israeli society?

An article in The Jerusalem Post:

My comment:

At the moment, we are fixated on the Haredim, believing that when they are forced to integrate into Israeli society, most of Israel’s problems will be solved. Then, we will focus on others, always finding the scapegoats.

But in truth, the root of the problem is in all of us. We are all born with an inherently self-centered, subjective, individualistic, and selfish nature. We all justify ourselves in any given conditions.

This problem is rooted in our inherent nature; no court orders, political machinations, or social activism can help.

We all need to change ourselves within; we all have to completely change how we relate to others and how we — together — build a cohesive Israeli society that is based on the original mutual guarantee — where each Jew is 100% selflessly and unconditionally responsible for each and every other Jew.

Since this is a state that is above and against our instinctive nature — although it is exactly how nature’s integral system and our own biological body works, based on this “mutual guarantee” — we need a very special method that can teach us how to exist and behave above and against our inherent nature that cannot be erased or suppressed and despite the vast diversity and differences of opinions between us.

This practical method can not only teach us but can also draw and harness the necessary “natural” — or “godly” (does not matter how we look at it) — forces that can actually give us new abilities and understanding we do not possess by birth.
