Who is behind all the problems of the world?

The inherently self-serving, self-justifying, insatiable, exploitative human ego.

The sooner we understand that it is not certain individuals, groups, parties, nations, or cultures that are “guilty” for the problems of the world, but it is the inherent nature, the all-powerful, shrewd ego that drives all of us that is the culprit.

While most of us would honestly reject this, if we were put into the same shoes as the well-known “evils, criminals” of human society, we would all behave in the very same way.

There have been many psychological, social experiments to prove this, as much as we try to ignore them, dismiss them. For example in Nazi Germany it was not only Hitler and a few other leaders that caused the criminal damage to others, the whole nation followed their leaders in unity. The Stanford “Prison Experiment” also proved that in the “right conditions” we can all become concentration camp guards, enjoying the torture of others.

Only when we reluctantly but honestly recognize the true root cause of all our problems, then can we start the right remedy — changing ourselves, each and every person dealing with oneself — instead of the usual symptomatic “solutions” which is always about blaming, changing others and the whole world around us, while we all justify ourselves as blameless, perfect.

The world will change only when we all come to this conscious, self-changing, self-correcting process willingly, proactively — instead of waiting for swiftly worsening individual and collective crisis situations which will convince us to go through the same process as a result of intolerable suffering.
