Who gains from Globalization?
Question from the Internet:
“Who stands to gain more from globalization, the East or the West?”
We could all gain from globalization if we understood what it is and what our roles in it are. Or we all die in this global world if we continue living in it like we do today.
Globalization is not something humanity created, we evolved into our globally integrated and interdependent conditions as a result of Nature’s evolution relentlessly progressing towards the most optimal integration.
We keep talking about “global village”, “humanity sitting on the same boat”, but at the same time we only search how to exploit the inevitable interconnections, integration, “single market” for selfish gain. We continue our usual way of life, succeeding, surviving at each other’s expense.
Thus we started to behave like cancer in this integral system and as a result, we are self-destructing, everything we built, we are building slipping through our fingers as we speak, while we are desperately helpless in solving our mounting global problems as we do not know how to cooperate, how to make calculations for the benefit of others instead of the constant selfish benefit, profit.
In a global world, there is no East or West, we are all but individual cells in a single, living organism. Thus we have to urgently learn how to adapt ourselves to our evolutionary conditions so instead of behaving like cancer, we give life to this single Human “super-organism” before it is too late and the egoistic “human cancer” consumes, destroys everything.
