Where is the “peace movement”?!

“What happened to the peace movement? Where is it now?”
What “peace movement” do you mean? People who protest with flags with a peace sign on them, singing John Lennon songs demanding peace? They look nice, make good television and pictures on social media. But do they know what exactly they want?
Does anybody know what actual, true peace is?!
Peace is not the lack of war, and it is not the temporary, ineffective and usually unfair peace treaties and ceasefires that give us pause in between constant conflicts, cold and actual wars.
True peace is built above and against war, we can say that we have to cover war with peace.
War, our inherent tendency for conflict, for control over others will never disappear, it cannot be suppressed. This is programmed into us, this is who we are.
If we want peace, then we will have to learn how to build it and keep it above our constant, instinctive tendency to fight, control, manipulate and exploit others.
This will not happen by demonstration, singing or crying, this will happen only when we all find the source of war inside us and start changing, correcting, further developing ourselves.
That is the true “peace movement” or “peace education”.
