Where do we go from here, who do we trust?!

“What is your opinion on The Social Dilemma documentary which is streamed on Netflix?”

After watching the film I have (at least) two questions:

1. Now that we know the extent we are manipulated, brainwashed, remote-controlled — and make no mistake, social media is only a part of the Matrix controlling us together with mass media, marketing, entertainment, sport, and celebrities just to mention a few extra manipulating influences — what are we going to do about it?! Are we going to disconnect, or we just shrug our shoulders and remain plugged in? Most people will do so, after all, where can we escape to when most of Humanity is “plugged in” and we are afraid without feeling the crowd around ourselves…
2. What was the real purpose of the film’s creators?! After all, I can’t believe for a minute that they made and screened the film to help us, laypeople?! Those people are also “agents” of the Matrix and the film was strangely focused on one particular company as “evil”. And I am not even saying I am certain that this film is also propaganda, but we reached a state where I can’t trust anybody, as everybody is lying and does anything they do only for their own sake when we are drowning in fake news and even the pandemic, people’s suffering, death is used for political, propaganda purposes. And it is not even their fault, we simply can’t operate, make any calculations in any other way driven by our self-serving, self-justifying egos. So it would be interesting to know their true intentions for making the film.

Which leaves us in a very real social dilemma! Where do we go from here?!

We are manipulated 24/7, we constantly think, desire, do what others want us to, and we can’t trust anybody as around us everybody is an agent of the Matrix unless one becomes completely disconnected.

But those who disconnect where do they go, how do they know who is really “on their side” trying to build a different society?! And if they try to build a different society on what foundations, values are they going to build it?!

How do we know, what do we do, who do we trust?!
