When will human beings change their behaviour towards each other?

Question from the Internet:

“What new concept or idea would make it possible to use the Internet for altruism, brotherhood and peace instead of developing the consumer and socially self-centred side of the people who use it?”

We already “know” that we have evolved into a globally integrated and fully interdependent world. We keep talking about this integration and how much we are sitting on the same global boat that is now sinking.

But we still do not actually feel how interconnected we are and how much our individual life, existence and survival depend on the life, existence and survival of everybody else and the whole system.

Only when we come to tangible, truly “visceral” sensations about our total interdependence, when we actually feel ourselves without any doubt like cells of the same living organism, then we will shift our worldview and behaviour from 100% egocentric, subjective and exploitative to altruistic, objective and mutually responsible and mutually complementing.

Without such very clear and “biting” sensations feeling on our skin how with every thought and action we inevitably and irrevocably influence everyone and the whole system, nothing will change. We will just keep talking while continuing to live at each other’s expense until we consume everybody and everything like cancer!

Reaching those very real emotional impressions requires the right, purposeful and practical educational method.
