What would you change in the world if you could?
Question from the Internet:
“If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be?”
I would change how we all feel and view the world we live in.
Inherently, we all see and feel the world through our instinctively egocentric and subjective perceptions and viewpoint. We collect some impulses and influences from a reality we do not know through our 5 physical senses, and the collected input is then analyzed and synthesized by a 100% egocentric and subjective “personal computer” which assesses and judges the world solely based on self-serving and self-justifying “pleasure/pain” calculations.
And after all this 100% introverted data collection and assessment, we build a certain, personalized picture of the world that serves us.
And then we start acting and reacting according to this very limited and distorted image of reality, each of us colliding with each other without any realistic chance of actually seeing, feeling, or understanding one another.
When we “connect” to another, when we “sympathize” with someone, and even when we “love” another, we turn towards a subjective and egocentric image of “another” we have built as that image serves our self-interest most.
It is this egocentric and subjective perception of reality that is the root cause of all our problems, conflicts, and destruction in life.
If we could learn how to see and feel reality through a totally selfless and thus objective perception devoid of any subjective and egocentric bias, we would experience a totally different existence. We would viscerally feel how integrated and interdependent we all are, how much we are but single cells of the same, living and developing “super-organism.”
As part of that vast and boundless organism, we could experience life beyond the egocentric and subjective limitations of time, space, and motion, and we would finally know and sense what “LIFE” is and what our purpose in this “LIFE” is.
This is not some sort of a dream, utopia, or mysticism. We can actually learn how to see, feel and experience reality “outside of ourselves” without any limitations with the help of a unique, purposeful, and practical method here and now.
