Since AI is a tool human beings use, we need to be ethical and consider the social effect of this use.

And here begins the problem.

By default, driven by our inherently egocentric, self-serving, subjective, and individualistic nature, we use everything only for our own benefit. We use everything we have to excessively accumulate and consume everything we can obtain while we succeed at the expense of others.

Moreover, all our tools, even such things as food and medicine, are used to control, manipulate, exploit, or even destroy others.

Thus, we do not need to focus on how specifically we use AI, for example.

What we need to focus on is how we ourselves behave, with what aspirations and intentions we use, and do everything we do.

Only when we have already recognized that inherently, we use everything only for our own sake and inevitably against and at the expense of others, and we have already developed a true and irrepressible need to change ourselves, our aspirations, and our intentions — against and above our persisting and intensifying urge to compete and overcome others — only then we will start using AI and everything else “ethically” and for the benefit of the general society.

As long as we refuse or delay changing ourselves — each person changing oneself instead of blaming, correcting, or destroying others — everything we do will remain destructive and self-destructive.
