Question from the Internet:

“Will we ever reach a time where humans do not need to work and can simply enjoy life?”

I think we got used to a strange philosophy that not working and resting, doing nothing is something good. But actual facts say otherwise.

When we look at unemployed people, especially in countries where they get a reasonable benefit so they can cater for their natural necessities, their biggest problem is not the loss of income.

The biggest problem is that they lose their active participation, mutual contribution to society and the benefit they receive evokes shame since they receive something without giving anything back.

We are totally fooled by thinking that enjoying life means doing nothing but receiving fulfillment for ourselves, like laying on the beach, sipping cocktails and looking at the sunset, or spending life on a cruise ship sailing endlessly.

We would literally die from such a life, becoming totally useless people simply stuffing themselves.

Our true fulfillment comes from expressing ourselves, producing something useful, the most fulfilling jobs in the world are those where people can serve others, give them something that is crucial for their lives.

In a properly built, mutually responsible, and mutually complementing society we will draw the greatest fulfillment, enjoyment from mutually contributing to the wellbeing of the whole, while justly, proportionately receiving everything we actually, truly need to continue that mutual contribution.
