What knowledge can help us change our civilization for the better?

Question from the Internet:

“In your experiences, observations, studies, professions, and/or expertise, what have you learned that you know if everyone would know it and learn from it, it’s possible it could dramatically improve life and/or the ways civilization functions?”

If we all recognized and accepted, that by default all our thoughts, decisions and actions are governed by our inherently selfish, subjective and exploitative egos, we could finally, consciously and methodically start changing, further developing ourselves.

Everything that ever happened to humanity, everything that is happening to us right now is caused by the all-powerful ego in each and every human being. It is this ego that drives us towards excessive overconsumption — we all subscribe to and follow. It is the ego that makes us ruthlessly compete and fight for resources and survival at each other’s and Nature’s expense — knowingly, unknowingly.

It is true that most people are honestly, blissfully unaware of the true desires and intentions driving them, and as a result, we always see the problems, causes, mistakes and crimes in others, while we maintain that we ourselves do not have to change.

But this inherent blindness towards our own responsibility, this inherent self-justification at all costs in any given circumstances inevitably drives us to self-destruction.

Only when we finally recognize and accept that instinctively we all exist and behave like cancer in Nature’s and humanity’s fully integrated and interdependent system do we have a chance of searching for and finding true solutions.

And the true solution starts with changing, “upgrading”, further developing ourselves — instead of changing, correcting, cancelling and censoring others — so we would be able to build selfless, positive, sustainable, mutually responsible and mutually complementing interconnections and cooperation according to Nature’s mutually integrated blueprint.

Only such a Nature-like human society — on a global scale — has a chance to survive evolution, in partnership with the Natural system.
