What kind of civilization will replace the collapsing Western system?
Question from the Internet:
“In hundreds of years after Western civilization falls, what do you think will replace it as the dominant world civilization?”
This will happen much faster than hundreds of years. The process is much faster than we want to admit; moreover, we are not in control.
First of all, we need to examine why western civilization is failing as we speak. We also need to examine why no other social, political or economic structure managed to overcome the Western structure and why all other experiments failed much faster and in a more devastating way.
Western civilization — especially the American model — fits our inherently self-serving, self-justifying, egocentric, and individualistic nature best. There are obvious differences between human beings based on culture and genetic roots, so not all people relate to this inherent egoism and individualism the same way, which is strongest in the “European” white race humanity. But as America proved, all cultures, religions, and races can happily settle into a fully self-serving, hedonistic, and individualistic society as long as it seemingly works and serves the egocentric and subjective fulfillment of people.
So why does the Western model fail if it suits our inherent nature best?
It fails because this egocentric, subjective and individualistic way of life, which succeeds at the expense of others and Nature, resembles the existence and operation of cancer in Nature’s finely balanced and mutually integrated system. It does not matter what we try to prove to ourselves and how stubbornly we fight the facts; at the end of the day, we are still integral parts of Nature, and Nature’s strict laws — that govern the general balance and homeostasis life depend on — are obligatory to us as well.
In Nature’s system, only selfless, mutually responsible, and mutually complementing cooperation and existence can secure and promote life. Our human lifestyle, especially its Western variant, does not have a long-term right to exist. And now, after millennia of building and destroying civilizations based on our selfish egos, we have reached a dead-end.
Why were human beings born “incompatible with Nature” in the first place?
In order to give us the free choice and practical chance to recognize our incompatibility and to consciously and willingly adapt ourselves to Nature — above and against our original qualities and behavior.
What does this give us?
This conscious and purposeful self-adaptation to Nature will lead us to our unique and very high human evolutionary purpose in the system: to become Nature’s only fully conscious, seamlessly integrated, and at the same time independent observers and equal partners.
Thus the future — very soon — dominant human civilization will be a Nature-like, finely balanced, and mutually integrated civilization that will act as a single, living organism with a special, collective consciousness and composite perception of reality. We will experience existence in a totally different, unlimited, and timeless way, liberated from the egocentric and subjective limitations of time and space. And we can start consciously and proactively preparing ourselves for that state here and now.
