What is the right future direction for Humanity?

Question from the Internet:

“How will I know if humanity is headed in the right or wrong direction?”

We would not know that without an overall purpose and an absolute “flagpole” we want to follow. Otherwise, we cannot measure where we are heading and how we are doing in relation to the goal.

Fortunately, humanity has an overall purpose and such an absolute “flagpole”, predetermined for us by Nature’s evolution.

We have a very special and very high evolutionary Human purpose and role to play in Nature’s system.

We are very unique in Nature.

On one hand, we are born with a seemingly incompatible “internal software, a completely self-serving, self-justifying, subjective and individualistic inclination and aspiration that sets us up against each other and Nature.

While all other elements — inanimate, vegetative and animate — of Nature are automatically and instinctively integrated into the system, never leaving their natural habitat (unless natural catastrophes or human interference forces them), never consuming more than what they actually need, constantly serving and contributing to the general balance and homeostasis life depends on, human beings recklessly overconsume everything, accumulating resources and everything possible for themselves way beyond their needs, while surviving and succeeding at the expense of others and Nature.

On the other hand, Nature also gave us a unique Human intellect, capable of critical self-assessment and the ability to initiate self-changes and self-development. We are the only parts of Nature that can recognize their inherent place in the system, the optimal role and function they need to achieve and can take their further development and completing their evolution into their own hands.

This is why Nature created us “unfinished” while also giving us the chance and ability to complete ourselves.

By this conscious, willing and purposeful self-development above and against who we are born to, we can acquire such an internal knowledge and attainment of Nature’s system, that in the end, we become Nature’s only fully conscious, integrated and at the same time independent observers and equal partners.

Consciously going in this direction is the right direction for humanity, any other direction is wrong.
