What is the remedy for “human misbehaviour”?
Question from the Internet:
“What are the general cures for incivility?”
The only truly effective “cure” for any human “misbehaviour” is education.
But when we are talking about education it is also very important to define what “right education” means.
Most of our education is not “right” as it is based on the original industrial revolution model, “educating”, preparing people to become good producers and consumers of goods in an increasingly consumerist society. This “education” uploads” the necessary information, data for the “human robots” to somehow function in this consumerist society where everything is measured through material wealth and through the power people exert over other people.
Instead — especially since we have become aware of the fully integrated, interdependent Natural system we all exist — the truly “right” education needs to teach us, help us feel this inevitable mutual integration and interdependence.
Then we would willingly, consciously learn and implement what Nature’s evolution and its laws expect from us: to build Nature-like, mutually responsible and mutually complementing interconnections and cooperation — above and against our subjective, egocentric, exploitative instincts, inclinations.
