What is the overarching theme of human history?
Question from the Internet:
“If there’s an overarching theme to human history, what is it?”
Yes, the overarching theme of human history is that human history is the chronicle of the ever-growing and ever-intensifying human ego.
We are all born with a 100% self-serving, self-justifying, subjective, and individualistic ego. This human ego has been driving human history through its helplessly recurring cycles, as we constantly have been trying to survive and succeed at each other’s expense.
It does not matter what kind of civilizations, what cultures, ideologies, governing, social and economic systems we have produced. They are all built by and for the human ego.
Our individual human consciousness and perception of reality is also blindly serving this ego; we are all locked into its “Matrix” without any exception.
And now, the human ego is seemingly inevitably taking us towards self-destruction like cancer that simply needs to consume everything and destroy. And although we consciously recognize, and already know that we are nearing self-destruction, we simply cannot stop.
It seems that only an unprecedented global catastrophe, vast population loss, and intolerable suffering can convince us to change and further develop ourselves, so we could unite and cooperate mutually above and against our inherent nature.
Fortunately, there is another option. With the help of a unique, purposeful, and practical method, we can recognize and accept what desires and intentions drive us all the time. And with the same method, we can also “reprogram” ourselves, “updating” our inherent internal software with Nature’s finely balanced and mutually integrated software.
Then we will be able to take our fate and future human history into our hands, wrenching it out from the all-powerful clutches of our ego.
