What is the basis for solving problems?
Question from the Internet:
“When solving problems, do you prefer to look for practical solutions or do you try to formulate creative ideas?”
Especially in our times, when we are facing very real, very great problems that threaten our existence, we need clear, practical solutions we can actually implement.
We can see how many ideas leaders, experts, or the public are throwing around, we can see all the ideologies, philosophies, great speeches flooding us, but none of them lead to solutions.
The foundation for any solution is the exact, clear understanding of the root problem. Only when we have the right diagnosis can we find the right remedy.
And this is where we stumble and remain on the level of theories, philosophies, empty speeches. The root cause is not in others, it is not in the world around us, but it is inside of us. It is our inherently egocentric, subjective, individualistic, and exploitative nature — that is totally incompatible with the fully integrated and interdependent Natural system we are born from and still exist in — that has been causing and is still causing all the problems we suffer from.
Thus only consciously, willingly, and methodically changing, upgrading ourselves, our inner software can we start understanding and solving the growing problems we are drowning in.
This is of course the most difficult as our inherently self-justifying, egotistic, subjective ego rejects any form of responsibility, always trying to find blame, responsibility for problems in others.
But we have no choice, we are in a corner, a dead-end we cannot escape from. Either we accept our own absolute responsibility for everything that is happening and we start purposefully, proactively changing ourselves, or we will not survive for long.
This is how simple the equation for human existence has become.
