What is happening in the world is actually very simple…
Question from the Internet:
“How do I deal with the frightening complexity of this modern world?”
In order to deal with the frightening complexity of the world, we need to try to simplify it, trying to find the most important cause-and-effect processes behind the scenes.
And fortunately, we can find such a strong and almost singular cause and effect chain that is behind everything we can observe in our world, both historically and in our own times.
Everything humanity has ever created, invented, developed, followed has been the result of our inherently self-serving, self-justifying, egocentric, and exploitative human ego. The only difference between human beings and other developed primates — that remained virtually unchanged for millions of years — is the human ego driving humans.
And while this ego propelled the incredible social, cultural, technological human development, it also makes us act and exist like cancer in Nature’s fully integrated and interdependent system.
Thus we do not have to find complicated solutions for the myriad, complex problems we are facing — and we can see how “successful” we are with all our “solutions”. The only thing we need to deal with, address is our own inherent nature.
The moment we started to learn how to harness, channel the incredible, irrepressible driving and consuming power of the ego towards positive, constructive, global, mutually beneficial goals and purpose — by following Nature’s evolutionary direction and keeping Nature’s strict laws that sustain the general homeostasis life depends on — all complex problem will disappear and we will suddenly find ourselves collectively sailing towards a beautiful future — in tandem with the rest of Nature.
Of course, for this first, we would need to accept that the problem is within us, not in others, and we would need to agree to change, correct, upgrade ourselves, instead of blaming, correcting, censoring, defeating, and destroying others.
But we have no other choice, if we do not change ourselves proactively, purposefully, consciously, then the constantly growing and finally intolerable suffering will “convince us”.
Mind-boggling complexity solved.
