What if we honestly saw what we cause in the world with all of our actions, intentions?

Question from the Internet:

“Would the world be a better place if everyone were instantly informed of the consequences of each and every decision they make from the moment they wake up in bed until they return to bed?”

Yes. If we all saw immediately what we are causing to the world with every action, thought, intention that originates from us, we would all be horrified and could not move or even breathe.

Then we would understand that knowingly, unknowingly, driven by our inherently self-serving, self-justifying, egocentric, and subjective nature, calculations we constantly cause harm and destruction that reaches the furthest part of the world.

In this globally integrated, fully interdependent world we evolved into, simply moving a finger, forming a though inevitable influences the whole system. And since by default we can think, act only for self-interest, since we constantly survive, succeed only at the expense of others, we behave like cancer.

If we were aware of this, at the same time also understanding that in this intertwined world when I destroy anything in the system, I also cause harm for myself, then I would restrict myself and allow myself to think, act only when I can be certain that my intention with anything I do, even taking a single breath, I cause only positive influence to the whole system.

This is the kind of mutual responsibility, mutual existence we have to achieve if we want to survive in Nature’s fully integrated and interdependent system.
