What does it mean to be selfish?
Question from the Internet:
“Am I selfish for having 3 gadgets (phone, tablet, and computer)?”
If that makes you selfish, I really do not know what I would need to call myself as I am a hoarder of gadgets, phones, tablets…
Fortunately the notions of “being selfish”, “being egotist” are used specifically to the quality of our Human interconnections. At least this is how unique, empirical, Natural scientists — who have been studying Human nature for millennia — explain.
They say, that as long as we do not intentionally harm others, as long as we try building positive, mutually responsible, mutually complementing interconnections with others — according to our conditions, abilities — it does not matter what possessions, habits we have, what our external appearance is, what we eat, where we live, what our profession is.
Since true, Human life is the circulation, mutual communication that unfolds within purposefully built and maintained Human relationships — which unfortunately not many people remember in our times — all our focus should be oriented at building and maintaining the best possible interconnections between us — above and against everything that tries to separate reject us from one another.
