What determines if we are good or bad?

Question from the Internet:

“What determines a human is good?”

This is a very important question. Indeed, by default, we do not actually know what actual “good vs. bad” is.

By default, our perception of reality and our whole approach to life is 100% egocentric, subjective, self-justifying, and self-serving. So we know only “good vs. bad” according to our individualistic and introverted calculations and viewpoint.

So we consider good what serves our best interest, and we justify ourselves as good in any given conditions and circumstances even if others consider us differently.

So in order to determine when a human is good, we would need to know what “good vs. bad” is in objective and absolute terms.

Such an absolute and objective “good vs. bad” can be viewed and learned through studying and fully understanding nature’s system around us as the only system we can learn from that is independent of human actions and influence.

For example, when we look at our own biological body, “absolute good” is a healthy and harmonious state where the general balance and homeostasis that are crucially necessary for life are maintained.

This general balance and homeostasis are maintained by all parts and elements of integrated and living natural systems working together through a totally selfless, mutually responsible, and mutually complementing manner, each making calculations only for the benefit and well-being of the whole system above and against any self-benefit.

When in such integrated, living natural systems, self-interest becomes stronger than the well-being and most optimal state of the whole, and disease and death occur.

From this perspective, human beings, by default, operate and exist in a negative and destructive way. We are all 100% egocentric, selfish, and individualistic by default. According to this, by default, there is nothing good in us, as we are all instinctively programmed like cancer, surviving and succeeding at the expense of everything and everyone.

In Nature, the “good” state of balance and homeostasis is blind and instinctive. Apart from human beings, all other parts of the Natural system are born into that automatic integration, fulfilling their complementary and cooperating role without awareness.

Human beings were “created” by Nature opposite and destructive compared to the rest of the system, in order to give us the conscious and proactive ability and chance to correct ourselves, to take our development into our own hands, and to reach compatibility with nature on our own account, with full awareness.

This will lead to us finding and fulfilling our unique evolutionary Human role, becoming Nature’s only conscious, fully integrated, and at the same time independent observers and equal partners.

Then we will also fully understand and feel that “good vs. bad” is determined only in relation to our positive or negative relationship with others and the whole system and how successfully and optimally we fulfill our crucially important, mutually contributing role in the system.
