What can we learn from America?

Question from the Internet:

“What good is the USA doing for the world or ever had done for the world?”

The US has done an incredibly important service to humanity. America proved without any doubts, that a lifestyle that is based on prod and narcissistic individuality, ruthless and exclsuive competition when we worship and cherish – and document and publicize through movies and the most sophisticated propaganda machinery in human history – surviving and succeeding at the expense of others, ends in tears, destruction and self-destruction.

The US is repeating, on a global scale, the incredible rise ands even more incredible fall of the Roman Empire. And since it is a global collapse, the US will drag everybody else, nothwithstanding that the whole rest of the world has been admiring and trying to follow the American example.

After all, we are born with an inherently self-serving, self-justifying, egocentric and exploitative nature. We all dream about the “American Dream” of infinite opportunities and infinite personal profit and success. But it was America that perfected this and also proved that the more we gain, the more control we get, the more we selfishly manipulate the rest, the greater destruction and downfall we cause.

Without the American example – and also knowing that none of the previous, similar or opposite ideologies, political, economic or social systems we ever tried would work either – we would not start searching for a very different and vastly revamped style of existence and cooperation.

Without the failure of the US, basically proving that we can’t survive by blindly and instinctively following and honing our inherently selfish and exploitative nature we would not have the humbleness and wisdom to start more intently observing and copying nature’s finely balanced and mutually integrated template as a blueprint for collective human survival.

There are of course many, who try to prove that the “American Dream”, the selfish and exploitative lifestyle can be revived and perfected, but more and more people already know and viscerally feel that we have to start rebuilding humanity and human interconnection on a vastly different and “natural” way, above and against our inherent nature.

We are at the most important crossroads of human history, when we switch from a blind, instinctive and self-destructive development to a conscious, humble and mutually responsible and mutually complementing style of existence which will lead us to the greatest success and ultimate purpose of Human existence.
