What are we up against?!

Question from the Internet:

“What is the world up against?”

Finally, we have reached the state of human development when we understand that we are up against ourselves.

For millennia we have been fighting each other, people against their leaders, nations against nations, cultures and religions fighting one another, siblings cheating and destroying each other. And, of course, we have constantly been fighting Nature, trying to exploit it and control it to serve our inherently egocentric, subjective and exploitative ”needs”.

And the more we fought, the deeper into the crisis we sunk. And now, we are finding ourselves at the “last stand” before the final battle in the “end of days”, as prophets foresaw.

The problem is that we still see the enemy in others or in Nature, while the only enemy we would need to fight is in ourselves. The only root cause of every evil that ever happened to mankind is our own inherently self-serving, self-justifying, hateful and exploitative nature that drives all of us.

And while I understand that many still did not reveal this “evil” in themselves, this means only that they haven’t faced the necessary circumstances to do so, or that their egos are more skilful in hiding the truth and justifying themselves.

But without recognizing that the problem is within us and that we need to change only ourselves — instead of blaming, correcting, censoring, cancelling or destroying others and manipulating the world around us — we will not survive!

There is no other enemy we are up against and that we need to fight — mutually helping each other and harnessing unique forces in Nature that can help us change and further develop ourselves.
