We need to understand globalization

Question from the Internet:

“Why do we need a historical overview of Global issues?”

I do not think that a “historical overview” of global issues can help us much. First of all, history is not a precise subject; it has been distorted and rewritten according to the loudest and most powerful voices in actual;l society again and again.

Also, a “historical overview” of “global” issues would presume that “globalisation” is something that human beings developed or invented. And that would take us to a faulty path.

We exist in a globally integrated and interdependent world because Nature’s finely balanced and mutually integrated system forces us to take on its shape and operation. Humanity is an integral part of Nature; whether we want it or not, we must adapt to Nature’s laws and its overall balance. Otherwise, we will not survive in this vast and infinitely powerful system if we remain incompatible with it.

So instead of a “historical review” of global affairs, we need to study Nature’s integrality, our original “non-integral” — selfish, egoistic and individualistic nature — and how we can become adapted to the system.
