We need to solve a single problem, the root cause of all the problems
Question from the Internet:
“Of all the issues within the world, which one would you like to see solved first and feel so much relief?”
If we try to face all the different problems we see on the surface, we are scattering our resources and are like doctors who treat the symptoms while allowing the actual disease to develop further.
All the diverse and seemingly unconnected problems originate from our inherently self-serving, self-justifying, egocentric and exploitative nature. It is because of this nature that we thrive on the ruthless and exclusive competition while succeeding at each other’s expense and while we deplete natural resources with our excessive overconsumption.
And while the pandemic or climate change seems unrelated to all of this, again it is our inherent nature that prevents any useful, positive, constructive and sustainable mutual interconnections and cooperation, since we do not trust one another and we still want to survive any scenario against others.
Either we will have to wait for incredible calamities that will bond us through intolerable suffering, or we willingly, consciously and proactively start to learn how to build the necessary, mutually responsible and mutually complementing cooperation above and against our instinctive nature and behaviour.
