We need to learn about our inherent human nature
Question from the Internet:
“How would the world change if humans became less social and more like lonely and independent tigers? Evolutionarily humans tend to feel safe when they conform. Conforming is really easier than critical thinking.”
Our conformity is mostly due to laziness and fear. But our evolution is going in the opposite direction.
We are all born as inherently egocentric, subjective and individualistic beings. And this sense of the egoistic self and our need for independence and “individual freedom” has been growing and intensifying through history in parallell of the development and growth of the human ego that drives us.
Today, we are the most selfish, subjective and narcissistic in human history, especially in the Western world. But the rest of the world is catching up as the selfish and egoistic development reaches the “developing” nations as well.
In fact, the only root cause of all our past and present problems is our sense of separation from others, which also leads to the innate need to ruthlessly compete and fught with one another for survival and resources. We are actually even happy when we can succeed and gain something at the expense of others.
Thus we can look at the human world as a collection of 8 billion lonely and independent “tigers” or more precisely, cancer cells.
Of course, not everybody has the ability and the conditions to actually use and exploit this independence. Most of humanity is arranged according to a pyramid structure, with a small minority having the power and ability to control, manipulate aned exploit the rest. And the rest, in the lack of any other options, conforms and suffers being controlled and manipulated.
And in the Western countries, they perfected the 24/7 media and entertaining “circus and bread” influence so people would not time and opportunity to actually think about their lives and being slaves, as most of them simply and blindly flow together with others, enjoying the few drops of pleasures and possessions and gadgets the ruling minority provide for them.
But as studies, like the imfamous “Stanford Prison Experiment” for example prove, given the right conditions and chances we can all become like the “ruling elite”, happily and readily controlling, manipulating and exploition others for our own benefit and pleasure.
Nothing will change for the better in the world, unless we recognize and accept what desires, forces and intentions truly drive us, what our original “operating software” is like and as a result of this recognition, we develop a true need and desire to change and further develop ourselves.
