We need to change the world, through changing ourselves

Question from the Internet:

“Sometimes it feels like the world is about to explode, and that my brain just can’t fit how absurd and confusing the world as a whole really is. I wish I could just take a step back and not think at all. What should I do?”

We can’t take a step back, we can’t check out of our own lives, it is not a movie we can just switch off.

On the other hand I fully agree with you, we live in a very absurd world where we accept lies, illusions, misinterpretations as truth and proudly march towards self-destruction.

And we will self-destruct unless finally, honestly accept, recognize that our inherently self-serving, self-justifying and subjective nature is terribly misleading us. Only after such brutally honest self-recognition can we start changing, correcting the only thing that needs changing, correcting: ourselves, our own nature.

Then we will start to see that by changing ourselves we actually change the world around us!
