We need to act “as if our lives depended on it!”

An article in The Jerusalem Post:

My comment:

Those are nice but empty words and no practical solutions.

The way we “lived Judaism” brought us expulsions, pogroms, the Holocaust, and not a true existential danger where the whole world — seemingly illogically and bordering insanity — turns against the Jewish State.

The “Judaism” we live in today — the religious and secular alike — is only a shadow of the true and original Judaism we should be living.

At least, if we understood that “Tikkun Olam” is possible only through “Tikkun HaNefesh,” meaning purposefully and methodically changing and upgrading ourselves, we would get closer to practical solutions.

The world is what it is — descending into chaos and consuming itself like cancer — because it is based on, built by, and governed by the inherently selfish, egoistic, subjective, individualistic, exploitative, and hateful human nature that drives all of us.

Only Jews have a practical, tried-and-tested method for learning and practicing how to exist, unite, and mutually complement each other above and against our instinctive actions and reactions.

Without Jews reviving and implementing their own life system, without Jews showing a positive example as a “model Nation” living in true mutual guarantee, the world will only worsen and become more destructive, destroying the Jews first and everything else shortly after.

We do not need nice words; we need to act here and now “as if our lives depended on it” — which is the actual truth!
