We must never forget the true guarantee of our success and survival!
An article in The Jerusalem Post:
My comment:
I fully agree.
Everything depends on how wisely we learn from our history.
When we examine all the events from Abraham until today when we observe the cause and effect processes leading to our tragedies and triumphs, we will find the presence or lack of unity and mutual responsibility between us as the single root cause determining everything.
We received the Torah on the merit of pledging to become a “Nation of One mand with One heart.”
We escaped Egypt, the “curse of Haman,” we triumphed over the Hellenists and rebuilt our country and can defend it when we are united, and each Jew becomes 100% responsible for each and every other Jew.
However, when we start infighting, when we want to overcome each other, terrible suffering and existential danger immediately appear on our doorstep.
The terrible events of last October induced a new wave of unity and mutual responsibility, which — at the moment — offers a true sense of victory over long-time enemies and a new chance for a better future in the Middle East.
We must not make a mistake again, considering all other means — politics, army, technology, and different alliances — are more important than the single most important source of our survival and success: our national unity and mutual guarantee!
