We do not need to focus on overpopulation, we have much greater problems to address!
Question from the Internet:
“Are overpopulation fears unfounded?”
The rate of population growth is already declining, and many studies have already pointed out that we will reach a peak very soon, and then the human population will actually decline.
But even if the population grows unabated, overpopulation is not our main problem but an easy excuse.
It is the footprint of each and every human being — especially in developed Western countries — that is the problem. It is our human society which is based on constant and ever-growing quantitative growth — fuelled by excessive overconsumption with artificially maintained and increased aggregate demand — that is the problem.
It is the fact that we are completely incompatible with Nature’s finely balanced mutual integration and that we live vastly outside of the optimal parameters of natural necessities and available resources that is the problem.
Actually, we do not even know what our actual natural, modern necessities and the available resources are since we are completely incompatible with nature’s system thus, we have no idea about the laws and principles Nature works by. Whatever our ‘sciences” reveal and establish are arbitrary guesses based on a 100% subjective and egocentric consciousness and perception of reality that makes us notice and research only what serves our selfish “pleasure/pain” calculations.
Thus the actual human population living on the planet is almost completely irrelevant. Our instinctive incompatibility or consciously acquired compatibility with Nature’s finely balanced and mutually integrated lawful and deterministic system will define our future.
