We do not be ashamed of being Human
Question from the Internet:
“Should I have to be ashamed to be alive my whole life just because I’m human and everyone says that our species is such a blight to mother nature on Earth?”
No, you should not be ashamed of being human. Instead, we all need to learn what it means to be “truly Human” and how we can become one.
It is true, that with our inherently selfish, egocentric, subjective, individualistic, and exploitative nature we behave like cancer towards each other and towards Nature. It is true that in our generation we have come very close to destroying life on this planet or destroying ourselves before that — through multiple different scenarios.
But our inherent nature is not something we created, invented, we were created by Nature’s evolution this way. Thus we have no responsibility for being born destructive, we did not have any free choice about this.
Our responsibility, the potential shame starts when we have already recognized our inherent nature, we know that it is harmful and destructive and we also received the ability, method to change ourselves, improve on ourselves so we become compatible with the rest of fully integrated, mutually cooperating Nature.
If we had that ability to change ourselves but we did not use it, this is when crime and shame start. And in our times we have both, the recognition and the available method.
And if we start using this method and achieve a conscious, purposeful similarity with and integration into Nature, we reach the unique, very high, evolutionary Human goal, purpose evolution expects from us.
And then we will have every reason to be proud of being Human.
