We can’t destroy society, instead, we need to learn how to change society

Question from the Internet:

“Do you agree with Mr. Robot’s speech on society? (link below)”

Yes, I fully agree with it. I loved the series and was rooting for Elliot to destroy society.

But what we do not get an answer to from the series is why society is like that.

What we learn from the series is that we cannot directly fight those “evil corporations”, the “evil leaders” seemingly running and ruining our lives, moreover we also learn — not only from the series but from real life — that when we become part of the system we gradually turn into those “evil businessmen and leaders” ourselves.

If we do not reveal, accept the root cause we cannot reform, rebuild human society and we will continue fighting shadows and all our social activism, solutions, outcries, and riots will only make things worse.

We have to learn that we all have a dark alter-ego inside, the true self that controls us, that is 100% self-serving, self-justifying, subjective, and exploitative, that is ready to sacrifice everything and everyone for its selfish benefit.

Only when at least a sensitive, critical mass, minority understands this and also accepts that we can change the world only by changing ourselves — instead of changing, correcting,m suppressing, and canceling others — only then will we become successful in changing society and the whole world.
