We can’t build the right Human society until we liberate ourselves from the control of the Ego
Question from the Internet:
“What will happen to us if there is unlimited freedom or absence of freedom in our society?”
In order to understand the answer, first we need to see and accept that our inherent nature — that drives all of us — is 100% self-serving, self-justifying, egocentric and knowingly or unknowingly we all thrive to succeed at the expense of others.
As a result, a society where each person has unlimited freedom to do whatever they want leads to chaos, anarchy, the stronger exploiting, literally consuming the weaker until only the strongest remain in a volatile, fragile standoff.
This is why we try building societies with laws, social, governing, political and economic systems to keep an order in society, preventing the above.
As we know from history, despite all the systems we put in place, we always end up in chaos, the strongest exploiting, manipulating the masses until societies fall apart, wars break out.
Sometimes we try societies where this control takes the form of dictatorial, authoritarian regimes, which is just another form of the strongest exploiting the weaker masses.
In order to enjoy true freedom in equal, just, sustainable societies, first we all need to liberate ourselves from the total control of our inherently egotistic nature. Only then will we become able to build the right Human relationships and the right kind of society.
