We can’t blame technology for who we are!

Question from the Internet:

“What impact do you think Facebook has on the psyche of modern humans?”

These are interesting questions about how technology is influencing our psyche or society in general. We started to believe in technology so much that we believe in AI taking over control over Humans, or that AI will solve our problems, or that we have become who we are as a result of technology influencing us.

But technology - even the most developed one - us simply a tool we ourselves built and we ourselves use.

So it is not technology that is controlling, influencing us but we do ourselves through technology. And technology won’t solve any of our problems, only we can do so, if we use the technology we have properly.

We are where we are, we are sinking into a deepening, unsolvable socioeconomic crisis, facing a real threat of self-destruction, because we are all born with a “cancer-like”, egotistic, exploitative and individualistic Human nature.

This inherent Human nature is incompatible with Nature’s laws of integration that sustain the balance and homeostasis life and optimal development depends on. This is why whatever we invented, developed, built is serving the same self-serving, self-justifying ego that wants to succeed, survive at each other’s and Nature’s expense.

Fortunately we also have a unique Human mind, which - if used - can help us in critical self-assessment, can help us in changing, fine-tuning ourselves until we science compatibility with Nature’s laws - and thus we survive.

We can’t blame Facebook, social media in general for what we are, who we are. We need to address the source of the problem which is inside each and every one of us.
