We can’t achieve unity on our own!

An article in The Jerusalem Post:

My comment:

Unfortunately, the “call for unity” — as much as it is important — cannot be credible from the media that is working hard to demoralize, divide, and undermine Israel and stop the very unity they preach about.

On the other hand, if we truly want to take unity seriously, we have to understand that it is not something we can achieve by simply speaking and shouting about it.

The “radical unity” Israel needs is something truly “supernatural.”

We have to build and achieve unity and mutual guarantee above our inherently self-serving, self-justifying, egocentric, subjective, and instinctively hateful nature that drives all of us.

It is this “supernatural” unity and existing and behaving above and against our instinctive nature that defines us Jewish People.

Our whole existence — that separates us from other nations and cultures — is based on the unique method that facilitates such “supernatural” existence and behavior.

Since this existence, behavior, and the subsequent unity and mutual guarantee is “supernatural,’ we cannot achieve it by ourselves, not even if we unite., and try doing it together.

We need an “external force”, the very force that created the original instinctive and self-destructive human nature so this “external force” — we can call it the Creator, G_d, or the force of nature — gives us an upgrade so we can exist and function above and against who we are born.

There are no other solutions and the longer we delay implementing our own original method, the longer we suffer.
