We cannot restore peace, we have to learn how to build peace

Question from the Internet:

“How can humanity restore peace to a world full of crisis?”

We cannot restore peace as we never had peace.

We are born for war, as our inherent nature, the engine that drives all of us is 100% self-serving, self-justifying, individualistic and nationalistic egoism. We thrive in ruthless, exclusive competition, succeeding at the expense of others since we define and justify ourselves through comparison to others.

The games we play with our children the way we approach sports, politics and anything we do is about defeating, mocking and humiliating others, constantly trying to prove ourselves above and against others.

Human history is a long chain of recurring vicious cycles full of conflicts and wars that are temporarily paused by unsuccessful and short-lived peace treaties.

If we want true peace, then we have to learn how to build sustainable, peaceful, mutually responsible and mutually complementing interconnections and cooperation above and against our inherent nature.

This requires a special, purposeful and practical “peace education”.
