We can still save ourselves!
Question from the Internet:
“Some people believe that the Earth is being harmed (damaged) by human activity. Others feel that human activity makes the Earth a better place to live. What is your opinion? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.”
I think the brief period of global quarantine at the peak of the first wave of the pandemic showed, that we don’t need to worry about Earth.
The perfect Natural system will balance, replenish itself as soon as the harmful Human activity stops. From those few weeks we could observe a seemingly miraculous Natural recovery.
Thus we don’t need to “save Nature", only Humanity is the endangered species.
It is our whole present Human system that is heading towards a seemingly inevitable self destruction, which we can trigger any moment, from multiple causes in multiple locations.
Right now we are focusing on the pandemic — with potentially me variants of the virus — but the climate change — and it is irrelevant how much Human activity is the cause of our — is progressing with great pace, probably making a large part of the planet uninhabitable for Humans soon, we could have much worse pandemics due to antibiotics overuse, we will soon have water shortage.
Due to increasing unemployment — from robotics and from the unsustainable overconsumption economy inevitably collapsing — and social inequality societies are breaking apart, leading to riots, revolutions. And as the crisis affecting us on all levels increases, leaders will have no other choice but to use the usual “historic solution": war.
We will not survive — and then Nature will have no difficult restoring its balance and homeostasis — unless we finally understand, accept that the root cause of all our problems is the inherently self-serving, self-justifying, egocentric and exploitative Human nature.
We can still save ourselves, through a unique, purposeful and highly practical educational method that can teach us how to live above, against our egotistic instincts, using our mostly dormant, Natural, altruistic abilities in a methodical, purposeful way to balance out egos.
