We can choose a wiser path of development

Question from the Internet:

“Are epidemics "good" for a country, considering they often unite people?”

Your observation is accurate, usually we need some form of a disaster, external threat to unite us. And unity is good, necessary, after all our problem solving ability, collective survival in a fully integrated, interdependent world depends on mutual interconections, cooperation.

But waiting for negative pressure to unite us is not wise, by that we follow the blind, instinctive development, changing, developing as a result of intolerable suffering, moving from crisis to crisis.

Human beings have the ability to change this process and to take our development, “fate” into our own hands, by learning what changes, development Nature’s evolution, Nature’s laws of integration demand from us.

Then we can protectively change, unite, when together purposefully, without waiting for the negative pressure from behind.
