An article in The Jerusalem Post:

My comment:

Thank you for the beautiful and inspiring article.

Indeed, we can observe “live” how Israel recovered from the tragedy of October 7th and became even stronger than before, how the IDF and intelligence services that badly failed in October reinvented themselves and performed the greatest precision military strikes the world has ever seen.

As the Wisdom of Kabbalah and our greatest sages also explain, we cannot grow without pain or suffering motivating us.

However, we can learn how to change the form of suffering and awakening we need to endure!

At this stage, we are still awakened and driven by unnecessary physical suffering and pain. We could change these physical sufferings to “love pangs,” the suffering of love, where we learn and can predict what next and higher stages we are expected to achieve according to the “plan of creation.”

Our sages also explain that this preparation and foresight we can develop only together when we, through our “supernatural” — above the instinctively selfish and egoistic human nature — unity and mutual guarantee we become able to “hear” what the Creator tries to tell us. When we make our desires as His desires — through the mutual, selfless, and unconditional love and service between us — we can tune ourselves to the right frequency and pace of development.

Then, it will be our expectations and yearning for the next state that will provide the hunger and need to progress and not physical sufferings pushing us from behind!
