We can acquire a completely different dimension of consciousness and perception

You are completely right regarding our physical senses and how we perceive physical reality through them. But that is not the totality of reality we have the potential ability to perceive.
Moreover as quantum physics - at least how we understand it so far - hints that the physical reality we presently fell existing in is actually just an illusiory construct, so we could at least have something to grab on until we develop the true senses, ability to perceive reality as it is: through forces, waves without any physical limitations.
And while we can’t learn how to see with the eyes of others, hear with the ears of others etc, we can learn to perceive reality through the thoughts, desires and viewpoints of others - by discarding our own thoughts, desires, viewpoints.
Trust me, this is much more difficult and seemingly “mission impossible” than using the physical senses of others. After all we can already replace some of our organs and probably very soon we will get artificial eyes, ears which will be able to provide a much greater spectrum of the visible spectrum of reality than the native eye and we will be able to “swap visions” like using each other’s “Google Glasses” or VR headsets for example.
But living through the desires, thoughts, viewpoints of others in order to serve, fulfill those desires as if they were ours, that is truly “supernatural”. It is completely against our inherently selfish, individualistic nature.
Still, with the right - very realistic, scientific - method, in the right environment we can achieve it.
What do we have by such a “supernatural” - above instinctive nature - feat?!
A truly, tangibly infinite, eternal sense of consciousness, perception, liberated from the inherently egocentric, subjective restrictions of time, space and physical motion.
