We are born to hate, but we can learn to truly love
Opinion from the Internet:
“Well, 1st of all there will always be evil as long as everybody keeps wanting to be racist and hate the other person just because of the color of their skin! It’s sad and it’s disgusting and I’m sick and tired of it. I also believe double standards bring out evil and people as well.”
First of all, I agree with you, we all have such “negative” tendencies, as we are all born inherently egocentric, individualistic, and distrusting, instinctively disliking those who are different, who we label as “others”.
Moreover, we also know that we cannot suppress or erase our inherent nature, the “ego” as that is all we have, without it we would not exist.
But we can purposefully and methodically learn how to harness, channel the ego, how to balance our negative, hateful tendencies to a state that we would even become able to “love others as ourselves” — above and against the rejection, distrust, and hate that will remain and grow!
And that will open completely new, previously unfelt emotions in us. Perception is based on contrasts, comparative research. We cannot feel warmth without feeling cold, sweet without bitter.
Until we recognize, fully accept the inherent hate in ourselves we will never be able to develop and sense “true love”, when we become totally annul ourselves and unconditionally love and serve the ones we love.
