We are all slaves to our egos

An article in The Jerusalem Post:

My comment:

There are multiple problems here. First of all, what we call “media” today has nothing to do with “free press” or the tool for “free speech.”

Today, media, without exception, is a propaganda machinery with very sharp and purposeful aims to control and manipulate people.

This propaganda machinery contains all arms of the entertainment industry and social media.

Thus, while the media keeps crying out for maintaining democracy, it is the media itself that undermines democracy in the worst possible way, obscuring free speech and manipulating people to do what the paymasters want.

What we call “democracy” today has no resemblance to democracy in the way it was intended. This is because as long as we are all driven by our inherently egocentric, self-serving, self-justifying, and exploitative nature, we distort and corrupt even the greatest ideas and systems.

Only Jews have the unique and practical method to build human relations and human society where people can connect and conduct their relationships above and against their inherent nature.

This is called the system of “Mutual Guarantee (Arvut)”.

Establishing such a “supernatural” — above inherent human nature — society requires a unique educational method, and it also requires special developing forces we need to learn to draw on ourselves since we are unable to change ourselves or act against our instincts.

Until we relearn and revive our own human developmental method, everything we do will be futile as we remain slaves to our egos.
