We are all selfish and egotistic. And until we recognize this, nothing will change!
Question from the Internet:
“Why do Global leaders fail in their duty for the sake of Future generations and the present one to make every effort to save the planet, feed, and shelter all human beings than indulge in selfish, petty-minded domestic goals to stay in power?”
Because they never actually signed up to do anything for future and present generations or to save the planet and feed and shelter all human beings.
They signed up to serve 100% selfish and egotistic goals in a 100% selfish and egotistic human system.
We might be talking about future generations, saving the planet and feeding and sheltering all human beings. The media is full of this and lots of activists are shouting “beautiful things” at the top of their lungs. But none of us actually take this seriously or act for such goals.
We are all completely introverted, egocentric, self-serving and self-justifying.
By default, we are unable to make any calculations beyond self-benefit.
This is why the people who made it to the top of human society — leaders, billionaires, celebrities and influencers — are the most selfish and egotistic of all. This is why they made it to the peak of the human pyramid above the less selfish and egotistic — but still selfish and egotistic — majority that makes up the rest of the pyramid.
Until we understand our own nature and what desires and intentions actually drive all of us, until we not only understand but tangibly and viscerally feel that our blind and instinctive nature literally kills and consumes us like cancer, we will never be able to start and make true changes.
The first step in problem-solving and safeguarding our collective human existence is understanding ourselves and developing the need and desire to change ourselves — all of us.
